Terrainus

Practicing terrain workflow from L3DT to Unity.
It has more creaks and crannys than one could think of, but I got it now, I think.

This fast test has one of three continents of the planet Kots, and this continent is 65km in length and width within Unity. That is quite large, but just as I want it.  Too bad there isn't room for sharper erosion details in the heightmap at that size, neither could I find tools for better base texturing in L3dT, but it is enough for my idea at least.

The brushes to paint textures become quite small to be useful in Unity at that size, but I think scaling the terrain down to paint the masks and then scale it up later for smaller detail painting could be an idea to try.

Desert in the middle tropical region of the continent Tearia. Serious minor detail still to come.

It should be mentioned that this terrain was not made by clicking for randomness in the terrain editor, but carefully outlined as a drawing and then blended with real heightmap data. More on this later.
